CityLegends is an Eindhoven company that markets a social media platform with game elements for urban sports. The company focuses on the research on activating its users in the offline world. In general, their focus is on research, interaction visual design, user experience & user interface, marketing, and app development. The company wants to acquire more reach in the urban community through its application. The application offers spots, events, jams, and more for athletes who participate in namely, skateboarding, parkour, urban dance.. Their mission: 'Our mission is to build the most engaged community of unbound athletes by capturing, sharing and experiencing their passion and creativity with others'.
Citylegends is an application that aims to create a community of urban sporters(sucha as rollerbladers, skaters, bmx). The assignment for my internship was to rebrand and redesign the application for CityLegends. This included designing unique icons for the company and redesigning the application. The product was worked on further by Hulan to finetune and develop.
The concept was prototyped into a basic PWA application for school. Other tasks included creating posters, wincards, social media content and redesigning. One of my main tasks during the internship was to design the conceptual look and user journey of the of UI and create new CityLegends icons.
The following is a quick PWA prototype visualizing a concept that I came up with for the company. Where users could experience interactive stories that are implemented in spots on the map or overall in the application. Interactive stories could also be used to gather data on their users preferences and interests.
